Hazards at work? More than you might think.

Did you know that more than 15,000 Quebecers under the age of 25 are injured or killed at work each year?

You and your employer each have responsibility for your health and safety at work. For example, if you work at a pool and handle chlorine, you should know that the container must:

•be firmly closed,
•identify that it contains chlorine, and
•be kept in a cool, dry place.

Also, if needed, your employer must provide you with protective equipment and you must use it.

When an accident happens, the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CSST) can help. If you are paid for your work, you are protected as of your first day! on the job.
