Your pet is acting out? You're responsible!
It doesn't matter if it is a dog, cat, parrot, snake, horse, hamster or other animal: you can be held responsible for the bad behavior of a pet.
It also doesn't matter if you are just taking care of someone's else's pet: an animal is always your responsibility. So if the animal injures someone, that person could claim money from you for injuries he or she suffered!
